Fodder Production System
Our 20-hectare fodder program follows a progressive expansion model to ensure year-round nutrition while reducing costs. The initial 5-hectare foundation establishes high-yield grasses, growing to incorporate protein-rich legumes before reaching full production capacity with diverse rotational crops.
Development Timeline:
Initial (5 ha): Napier grass and Brachiaria foundation
Intermediate (10 ha): Lablab and lucerne with irrigation
Mature (12-15 ha): Velvet bean, forage sorghum + silage storage
The system combines rotational grazing across 10 paddocks with advanced feed management. We use chaff cutters to improve digestibility, compost manure to fertilize fields, and are developing biogas systems to convert waste into renewable energy. This creates a closed-loop ecosystem where every output becomes an input

Workforce Development
As our fields expand, so does our team. Beginning with three essential staff members, we grow to a specialized team of 8-10 at full operation. Each stage of growth brings new training priorities and operational refinements.
Team Growth:
Starter (3): Manager + cattle/goat specialists
Growing (5): Added herdsmen and security
Full Capacity (8-10): Dedicated nutrition/health roles
Training focuses on four pillars that evolve with our needs:
Animal Health: Disease prevention and care
Nutrition: Feed optimization techniques
Records: Breeding and growth tracking
Biosecurity: Herd protection protocols
Our manager oversees both daily operations and staff development, supported by progressively sophisticated tracking systems. At full scale, we invest in staff welfare with improved housing and workspaces, recognizing that our people drive our success as much as our agricultural systems
